Government seeks your input on Diaspora Strategy - have your say!
The Irish Government has launched the Global Irish Survey 2025, open throughout August, inviting Irish people living abroad and those recently returned to Ireland to share their views. This first-ever survey aims to gather input from the Irish diaspora—including emigrants, descendants, and those with strong Irish connections—to inform the next national Diaspora Strategy.
Participants can complete a short online survey (approx. 10 minutes) until 31 August 2025, with separate options for individuals and organisations. Those with detailed policy ideas may also submit short position papers. All responses are confidential and will help shape future government support and policies for Irish communities worldwide.
Do contribute! Complete the survey and it would also be great to submit a position paper - on the driving license issue or any other issue that affects you as a member of the Irish community abroad or a recent returnee.
The survey is available at www.ireland.ie.
